Your Wedding Invitations set the tone for your wedding day and are the first glimpse to what your wedding day is about, it shows your personality as a couple.


Not only do you need to include those important finer details, like venue, timings and date. You need to set the tone for your day, are you going formal or more relaxed and your wedding style.

THE HOSTS


The hosts name are usually the first line of your invitation. If it's not parents hosting, it will be the couple.

A few options of how to ask your guests to attend your event

THE COUPLES NAME


If your name isn't in the request line, your name will be the focus of the invitation. Traditionally the brides name goes first. For same-sex couples your names will go alphabetically.



DATE AND START TIME


If you are having a formal wedding, typically the date of your wedding will be written in full, including the day of the week.


Start time you can either go formal or more relaxed with it, including "o'clock in the afternoon" if you are writing out the time.



VENUE & LOCATION


If you are having a details card or wedding website, we would omit including the address on the invitation itself.



RECEPTION DETAILS


A few options of how to show details of your reception


"Followed by reception, dinner and dancing"


"Reception, dinner and dancing to follow"


"Dinner and dancing til late"



DRESS CODE


Setting the tone for how to dress for the wedding is a must to avoid any confusion! Either include this on your invitation, details card or wedding website.
